For the 2nd year in a row, Design KC magazine celebrated Kansas City’s design industry, including architects, designers, builders, remodelers and artisans. The publication held a juried competition in late 2023, and in February, the results were in. You can read about all of the winning projects in the latest issue of Design KC, on newsstands now.

You might remember reading about The Mark and its storied history, beginning its life as the Kansas City Athletic Club. After breathing new life into its public spaces while retaining many of its original elements, this project was an award winner for Multifamily Residential.

Vintage Vibe, the Don Drummond designed home that was also featured in Atomic Ranch, brought in an award for Remodeled Residence up to 3000 Square Feet. Thoughtful details and modern conveniences paired with period-appropriate materials make this home a quiet force.

And finally, Well Suited‘s primary suite (above) and bed (below) were awarded in the Interior Project: Single Space and Design Detail categories, respectively. This project includes the primary bedroom, bathroom, and closet/laundry room, creating a calming, cozy retreat to begin and end each day.
