It started as a simple request. Our client asked us to ‘update a few furnishings’ in their living room and family room. We got to work. But then — pandemic.

Suddenly the entire family was living, working and going to school under one roof. They realized there was no privacy. No place for the adults to escape or relax. The project needed to grow.

The design became about uncovering hidden potential. For the home to take on multiple functions with ease. Transformations that offered a smarter, modern feel and a sophisticated and calming vibe.

Our vision was to make their space functional, quiet and casual. Something airy yet grounded, serving unexpected moments of joy. A place where each family member could live and work without being in the middle of everyone else’s activities.

The home is now a hybrid of conventional structure and up-to-date function. It’s a retreat that meets the needs of today’s busy lifestyle with a meditative spirit. It infuses traditional bones with modern heart and soul.

This project’s success centered on finding space and light. Thoughtful spatial shifts allowed us to create an entirely new second-floor lounge area. Now, individuals can comfortably relax or work upstairs. It’s calm. Easy. Quiet.

Throughout this project, we kept in mind that good design is nothing without comfort. That today’s families need function and calm. We’re proud of this livable home that seamlessly bridges traditional elements and modern spirit.
