Providing market rate apartments in mid-town Kansas City, what started as a simple renovation, changed into a major historic preservation project. The design came to life as original marble floors, sculpted plaster work, wide arches, and soaring ceilings were discovered behind dropped ceilings and curved sheetrock walls. Working with historic preservationists, sub-contractors, and architects, the public areas were restored to their original beauty. Lisa, donning a hard hat, climbing scaffolding, worked side-by-side with specialists to determine paint palettes and color placement. Furnishings, finishes, décor and lighting were selected for durability, comfort, and scale while complimenting the traditional architecture.
