The design story for this project in Montana, called Home on the Range, begins with the land itself. Wide skies, shifting light, and a landscape that feels both grounding and expansive. Every choice we’re making starts there.

The palette pulls directly from the land: mineral tones, warm blues, and sun-worn neutrals. Upholsteries echo those textures with quiet, tactile layers.
These mood boards are the first glimpse into a home that’s meant to live in harmony with its setting, where nothing feels imposed and everything feels connected. Letting the landscape lead has made the design feel both inevitable and entirely unique.

Above, textiles repeat color shifts and textures found right outside the project’s front door.

Here and There:
A quick hit of what caught our eye this month

Can’t put down the granola at West Plaza Bodega (from the geniuses at Black Hole Bakery); stopped in for a card, left with a notebook and cards and pens and…at Mayday Paper & Post; looking forward to adding KCAI’s Marble & Canvas to our “local shops” list.
