This year, we’re exploring a new series, Inside the Timeline. You can revisit our first step, Before the Beginning, here.

Before choosing a single material, we study how  the home should support you: How you move through a kitchen, where natural  light lands in the morning, how storage supports daily routines. We consider  multiple layouts before anything is locked in, exploring how light, flow, and  lifestyle shape the experience of a space. These early functional decisions  become the quiet backbone of a well-lived home.

For the remodel at City Haven, functionality was top of the list for our client who loves to be in the kitchen: “Appreciating that I love to cook and to entertain our extended family and community of friends, Lisa attended to both the practical and the beautiful with her kitchen design. The functionality is irresistible: I feel compelled and delighted to cook. We are thrilled with the entire space. what previously felt formal and fancy is now peaceful, grounded, light-filled and welcoming.”

Check back next month for a look into next project phase, The First Glimpse of Your Future Home.
