We are so proud to have received a Gold Award in IIDA’s Mid America Design Awards for our City Haven Project!
City Haven was purchased for its proximity and bike-ability to restaurants, groceries, and entertainment. Though the location was alluring, the original design was a weighty, formal space that did not match the owner’s barefoot, yoga-inspired, entertaining lifestyle. An extensively remodeled kitchen, great room and master bath with all new finishes, furnishings, window treatments, and lighting throughout bring a calmness that reflects the client’s informal style and emphasis on function. In stripping down to clean forms and celebrating large, open spaces free of clutter, the whole house takes on a more welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

“The best thing about this project was that it really embraced interior design. I think there’s something that we have to say about how the renovation really took the space which was kind of awkward from the existing structure and made something out of it. The scale, texture, layering, patterns, all the shapes of the light fixtures, furniture, and styling. Having such a grasp on the whole spectrum of design from space making to accessories I think this was amazing. Congratulations.”
